Portugal July 07
In July 07 I spent a week in Portugal with a very old close friend who has recently moved out there, staying with him and his young friend in their little flat near Sintra where they are living prior to my friend moving further south to the Algarve. We visited Sintra, and the Quinta de Regulare and Feather Palace there, and went for a drive in the lovely cabriolet beetle I hired out to the temple of Diana and the circle of Almendres - the greatest stone circle in the Iberian Peninsular. It was a lovely few days break, in baking weather (compared to the floods at home).

Glastonbury 07
Here are some pics of my latest jaunt at Glastonbury Festival! It was my 13th Festival (you can see a retrospective in the
theatre area of this website in the Arts Manager section). I spent most of the week working hard enjoying the sunshine, until my job was largely over, the Festival had begun proper, and the rain had started. It wasn't too bad, to be honest, to start with - indeed I kept saying to people, "it's not as bad as 98", but on the Monday morning after the Festival, as we all were packing up to go home, I was not saying that anymore. Nationwide flooding had begun - to continue later in July.
