'spoken graphic art'

Muhammad Yusuf

presented by the tace

Date: Friday 4th April

Venue: the tace undercroft 8pm

Bridging boundaries between literature and music, Muhammad delivers hard-edged urban poetry set to rhythms ranging through funk, jazz, blues, and reggae. Alternative, topical, witty and enlightening, Muhammad Yusuf has built a growing reputation as an engaging live performer. Since returning to Britain, his birthplace, after years in Trinidad and the Sudan, his versatility has attracted some interesting labels: 'spoken graphic art' and 'a musical poet extraordinaire' are among them.

Beat poetry for the mind and feet.
