Georgian Theatre
This exquisite, cosy little 96-seater Georgian Theatre was originally built in 1796, and at one time had a pit, balconies and boxes, and was the haunt of Officers of Tamworth Barracks in the Napoleonic Wars.
Today it is open six days a week, and at least one weekend a month you will find top quality touring theatre companies in performance here, as well as performances by the excellent dramatic and musical societies based in Tamworth and further afield.
Every Monday evening the Centre is filled with local children in drama and dance workshops. Information on these and other events is always available from the Box Office 01827-53092.
