FAR & WIDE PUPPETS

AT TAMWORTH PLAYSPACE CHILDREN'S FESTIVAL

Saturday and Sunday only

Far & Wide Puppets present

Tales of a Far & Wide Cat

An enthralling combination of Storytelling, Puppetry and Theatre The tales illustrate magic, diversity and universality of stories from different cultures in a way that encourages gaps to appear in which children can tell their own stories.

The Tales are told by the travelling storyteller, Joseph Pushkanolla, who carries a rucksack full of rod puppets, and his magical companion, Mia the Far and Wide Cat. They travel through the Gap, the place in which stories cross national boundaries. They are, of course, being pursued by the infamous F.L. Schmang - 'The Greatest Brain in the Universe.'

Showing on Saturday on the outside theatre stage, and on Sunday in the Big Top.

The Great Ape

Cosmo, the loved-by-the-nation Ape escapes from a zoo threatened with closure with Bill and Ben, madcap keepers. Cosmo loses them and then loses himself in a factory that makes potions: Heart potions, Sharing and Caring lotions, Giving and Taking potions. Cosmo mixes the potions which results in....?

Showing on Saturday in the Big Top and on Sunday on the outside theatre stage.

Puppet Making Workshops

Far and Wide puppetry workshops range from making simple rod puppets to producing large scale puppet productions. They will be helping children make their own small puppets once a day, on Saturday and Sunday in the Big Top.
